By guaranteeing the touches on precious metal alloys, INCM Contrastarias ensures the necessary consumer protection and fair competition between the different economic agents.

INCM Contrastarias provide this guarantee by checking the legal touch (permilage of precious metal contained in an alloy) and the application of the contrast next to the manufacturer’s responsibility mark or equivalent. In the case of silver pieces, the application of the Contrastaria trademark is only mandatory on pieces weighing more than 2 gr., however the responsibility mark must be placed.

In case of doubt about the authenticity of the marks, the Contrastaria’s services may be used for verification purposes.
